Wigs Online is an Australian Owned and Based Company which provides great quality Human Hair and Synthetic fibre wigs, hairpieces, extensions and other associated products throughout Australia and Overseas.
The Wigs Online website was established in 2001 after several years of successfully servicing customers via an eBay store. The move to our own website was so as to provide clients with a state of the art e-commerce website that is simple and easy to use in the privacy and comfort of their own home.

What personal data we collect and why we collect it
First and Foremost, regardless of what data is collected on our website, we will never sell you data to 3rd parties for use in any way.
While you visit our site, we’ll track:
- Products you’ve viewed: we’ll use this to, for example, show you products you’ve recently viewed
- Location, IP address and browser type: we’ll use this for purposes like estimating taxes and shipping
- Shipping address: we’ll ask you to enter this so we can, for instance, estimate shipping before you place an order, and send you the order!

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

Media
If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

When You submit a form on our website (Newsletter Subscription or Contact Us Form) , apart form the details you submit, such as Name, Email Address and Message Content we also collect your IP address and browser user agent string to, again this is done to help spam detection.
If you have provided information by signing up to our Newsletter then you may form time to time receive emails with information relating to product releases, special offers and discounts, information relating to trading hours or any other information about our operations that we may deem pertinent to our clients.

All searches performed using the internal site search are logged in the database, including the following information: the search query, the number of hits found, user ID for users who are logged in, date and time and the IP address. The IP address is stored for security and auditing purposes.

Any information held specifically by Wigs Online, which you submitted to us during your interaction with our site, is not shared with any other parties. How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognise and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

Protecting your data is of up most importance to us and we have many security measures in place to prevent any data breaches. We constantly review our security to ensure that the measures are up to date and effective in protection your data.
Sensitive and financial information is not stored on devices within Wigs Online’s premises. All companies which we contract to process sensitive financial information are all PCD DSS complaint with Australian standards in relation to data security.
What data breach procedures we have in place
In the event of a data breach we lock down any servers containing client information as soon as the breach is detected. Clients who may have been affected will be notified via the contact details provided on their account.
What third parties we receive data from
The only third parties that provide us data are the payment processing gateways. The information provided is only a confirmation of the status of your payment (Approved or Declined).
What automated decision making and/or profiling we do with user data
Other than any profiling done by Google Adwords and any Social Media Platforms that we use (e.g Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest etc..) and the automated spam detected service, we do not use your data with an any other automatic decision making or profiling systems.
